Om Puri has apologised to his wife for his outburst about the intimate revelations in her biography of him.

The actor earlier said that he was angry at Nandita Puri for telling all about his relationships with two maids in her book Unlikely Hero: The Story Of Om Puri.

Puri told: "I deeply regret my impulsive nature. It has hurt my wife and my son Ishaan.

"My son has been crying over the phone. I beg my wife and son’s forgiveness."

He added: "My anger should have been projected at the publishers for trying to pre-sell my wife’s book by leaking out only the sexual episodes."

He had reportedly been worried about being compared with alleged rapist Shiney Ahuja.

Shah Rukh Khan will combine a concert with the shoot in Malaysia

A Malaysian state hopes to hold a concert next month by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan who had promised to shoot the film Happy New Year in the country.Malacca state conferred the award of Datuk, akin to British knighthood, on Khan last December. It hopes he will keep his promise to shoot for his next film Happy New Year.

Assuming that he will combine a concert with the shoot, plans are afoot to get Khan to perform December 11 in Malacca. Malaccan Chief Minister Mohammed Ali Rustam, who was instrumental in Khan being made a Datuk, Tuesday said the state would seek private sponsorship to help organise the concert in conjunction with the UN World Assembly of Youths 60th anniversary celebrations.

The event, he added, would be held at Stadium Hang Jebat in Krubong to enable many fans to catch their Bollywood idol in action, The Star newspaper reported. "We are trying to get a private company or maybe several more to sponsor the event. "It will be worth their while as they can get international publicity if Shah Rukh Khan endorses their products," he told reporters in Kuala Lumpur.

He said state representatives had recently met the star in India to discuss how to promote and develop the local film industry. Shah Rukh said he was not keen on setting up a studio here due to time constraints.However, he said he would be glad to assist the state as an adviser, Rustam said.

Amid protests from local artists and celebrities, Rustam convinced the Malaccan royalty last year to confer the award on Khan and the title of ?Datin’ on his wife Gauri Khan.Besides Khan, several Bollywood stars and their films are popular in Malaysia where their popularity goes much beyond the eight percent ethnic Indian population.

`Slumdog Millionaire` beauty Freida Pinto has expressed a desire to be adopted by none -other-than Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie.

The 25-year-old actress admits she was in awe of the Oscar-winning beauty, who has six children, three of whom are adopted, the first time they met, Female First online reported.

"She`s a lovely lady. I don`t know what else she said to me, but I wanted to go up to her and say, `Adopt me!`," Pinto said.

"I think she`s a lovely person who is there for people who are just starting off, for starters like me. I remember when I met her at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and she said, `Just enjoy this because you never know if it`s going to happen again`," she added.

The Indian beauty, who is currently dating her `Slumdog Millionaire ` co-star Dev Patel, said that the appreciation received through the movie has affected her life in a big way.

"I have to pinch myself! It`s like a dream come true but we had a little message in `Slumdog Millionaire`, `It is destiny.` So that`s what I`m going to embrace it as and enjoy life," Pinto said.

Finally we have the update everyone had expected at PMA, the new PowerShot S5 IS digital camera. The S5 IS features an eight megapixel 1/2.5" (5.8 x 4.3 mm) CCD sensor and a twelve times Image Stabilized zoom lens. Unfortunately this lens, while offering long reach with its maximum 432 mm equiv. FOV doesn't improve at the wide end with the same 36 mm equiv. FOV as the S3 IS. Improvements include Face Detection (for AF, AE and Flash in shooting mode and red-eye removal in playback), a 2.5" LCD monitor (up on the S3 IS) and a flash hot-shoe. Still no RAW support though.

The new Fujifilm Finepix F11 builds on the success of the Finepix F10, which was voted European Pocket camera of the Year in 2005. Resolution—determines picture quality
Resolution is a key factor in how big you can print and how much you can crop your pictures. It also affects camera cost. The higher the resolution, the greater the cost. In addition to a camera's maximum resolution, review its other resolution settings. It seems to me that if you can't find a Canon that matches your requirements, you just haven't looked very carefully. The Canon lineup is so rich with options it's often hard to tell one model from another. The Canon A630 might, for example, be easily confused with the A640, except it has an 8.0-megapixel sensor and doesn't support remote capture. Neither of which strike me as a problem. Especially when the savings amounts to $100.

Canon shares my opinion, it seems, because the manual for both models is identical. Or I should say the "manuals" because you need a set (the Basic, the Advanced, the Printing manuals). The A640 is black while the Canon A630 is silver, but the bodies are otherwise identical.

It's rather astonishing you can get so much camera for $300 these days -- especially considering its extensive exposure options. The Canon A630 is a classic.
